A visual creation is being conceived to honor Tony Iommi, the legendary architect of metal sound. Although not my top favorite guitarist, it is undeniable that Iommi is a maestro behind riffs with thunderous distortion that can penetrate the deepest corners. Especially in "War Pigs," a piece that not only speaks of war but also delivers a sharp cry that challenges the leaders who instigate conflict, yet remain detached from the consequences they cause, as if they are mere observers, immune to the horrific reality they have created. The riffs and guitar solos crafted by Tony Iommi in "War Pigs" are deeply intertwined with the meaning of its lyrics. As Black Sabbath's guitarist, Iommi uses his distinctive playing technique and musical atmosphere to amplify the song’s anti-war theme. The opening riff of "War Pigs" is slow, heavy, and grim, creating an ominous atmosphere, as if it were a warning bell signaling impending devastation. The slow tempo at the beginning of the song mirrors the “slow movement” of war itself how it begins with decisions made behind closed doors that ultimately sacrifice countless lives. This riff seems to symbolize the moral burden and horror of war conveyed in the lyrics. The harsh guitar sound and heavy distortion evoke a sense of despair that mirrors the very essence of the war it describes.
